I spent July and August studying for my teaching diploma in Victoria. Bev, Andrea and Nicolas came out to join me for a holiday at the end of August when my courses finished.
The rabbits on campus were a big hit with Andrea and Nicolas.
We drove north and west from Victoria to camp for a few days near Tofino. The water was too cold for the sensible(?) adults but we couldn't keep the kids out of the water!
At Andrea's insistence, we went whale watching. We didn't get that close to the whales, but it was still a great day out. And we got to wear some pretty wild survival suits. (For pictures of the whale-watching, check out the links off my main page to Vancouver Island 2003)
After leaving Vancouver Island, we drove to the Cranbrook area where I continued my studies until Christmas. We managed to have a little fun along the way. (The wate was still pretty cold, but at least Dad went in this time.)
It's a beautiful area. For more pictures, check out the South Eastern BC 2003 links off my home page
